Rosario Lo Presti, engineer as profession and photographer for passion.

Born in Messina in 1957, Rosario resides in Florence, Italy. He began photography during University, but, once graduated, the camera went into a draw as work began.

However, the passion for photography returned roughly 12 years ago. Therefore, the draw was reopened and he took his camera which, since then, has been following him on all of his journeys.

During his free time, Rosario studies Photography.

Rosario has participated in many workshops, some of which included famous photographers with international reputations (Alex Web, Ernesto Bazan, Vittore Buzzi, Gabriele Lopez, Sandro Santioli, Alex Coghe and Davide Monteleone).

In 2015 Rosario went to the photojournalist course arranged by the Fondation “Fondation Studio Marangoni Florence” and in 2019 the Master Documentary photo with Davide Monteleone.

In 2013 Rosario was awarded the third award of the National Geographic, Italy, competition and the first portfolio award of the Trapani photo festival competition (2013). He has also been presented several awards at national and international contests arranged by FIAF and FIAP one of which was “The best photo of 2016”.

His presentation “Un Giorno Special – A special day” about the procession in Comiso (Ragusa, Sicily) has been published on the magazine “La Strada” (2017).

In 2024, Rosario won the TTA 2024 award with his captivating story “Blues in the Night.”
